Transforming Autism
This service supports young Autistic children and their families.
It works with children early in life, when support can make a lasting difference.
The early years are an important time. Children need to feel safe, understood, and accepted.
When children are supported early, it can help reduce stress and trauma later in life. This includes stress caused by not being understood or feeling judged for who they are.
The service understands that Autistic children may be very sensitive. It also recognises the many strengths that come with autism.
Support focuses on helping children grow in their own way and build on what they do well.
Parents and carers are supported too. They are helped to build strong, trusting relationships with their child. This helps families feel more confident and supported at home.
The service sees autism as something with many positive possibilities. It does not see autism as a problem or a limitation.
